We hope you are all having a great summer and that your trees survived the heat wave.  See you in September.

AUCTION REPORT

Wow, what an amazing auction.  So many great trees, so many enthusiastic bidders!  It was a great turn out, including some members we haven’t seen since pre-pandemic.  So nice to gather again.

We hope the buyers and sellers were happy and are pleased to report that the club made a nice profit. The auction is a huge effort which can’t happen without a lot of volunteers so we thank all the people who put in the time and effort to make sure it ran smoothly. The auction committee ( Rick, Sherilynn, Sam, Cole, Gerry, Eduardo, Nono, Charles, Beth, Jeff, Henry and Kaye)  worked hard to make it happen but everything ran smoothly and we had everyone out the door by 9:30. Now that is something to celebrate!  

WORKSHOPS

A big thanks to Gerry for jumping in to become the workshop organizer.  It is especially great to see so many new members show up with their trees. The workshop is not only a great way to learn but a chance to get to know other members in a relaxed atmosphere.  Thanks to Tom, Joe, Victrinia and Eric who have been serving as experienced members to help those of us who are learning.   Also Beth and Jeff have helped with closing things up at the end of the workshop.  New members this is a great way to contribute to the club.  If you are planning on attending the workshop anyway you can contact Gerry  gerryokeefe@mac.com and offer to come a little early or stay a little late.  No bonsai knowledge necessary, just a willingness to contribute.

LIBRARY

Remember that the club has an extensive collection of books and magazines on the subject of bonsai.  You can search the collection and place things on hold and the items will be brought to the next meeting. Reach out to the Librarian to get the password to our Library. Once the password is entered, look for your name on the list. Don’t see your name?  Contact Nono at nono.burling@gmail.com
